The first version of compareDocs Enterprise introduces 3-Pane View – a report type that makes it even easier to compare document versions and view the differences.
compareDocs users have always had flexibility when it comes to comparing document versions and highlighting the differences between them. They can view the comparison as a redline report, a side-by-side PDF with annotations or a Word document marked up with Track Changes.
It’s this last report type we know users go back to again and again. And the feedback we received was that document review could be simplified even further if everything related to the comparison could be shown on one screen.
So, instead of having the Comparison Report open in Word, and printed copies of the Original and Modified versions to refer back to, compareDocs could show all of this in a clear view.
How 3-Pane View makes it even easier for users to compare document versions and understand the differences
3-Pane View reports show users the document versions being compared alongside the Comparison Report. So, users can compare at a glance what a sentence or paragraph was before and after it was edited.
Then, you have the freedom to accept, reject, or rewrite those changes in the main Comparison Report that functions as a regular Word document.
Choose where your compared versions display
You can choose to dock the pane with the document versions you compared in various locations on one screen or a second monitor.
You can set your preferred layout quickly and easily using the 3-Pane View menu in the DocsCorp ribbon within Word.
Or you can pre-set your default 3-Pane View settings through the compareDocs Settings cog on the main UI. (Settings > Output > 3-Pane View > Default Source Documents Pane location).
The 3-Pane View report is included with compareDocs Enterprise. It is available now to help you compare document versions and see the differences in a way that suits you. Get more information about compareDocs’ versions here.
